Five buses were set on fire by unidentified miscreants in different areas of the city today as another spell of 48-hour blockade imposed by BNP-Jamaat is underway.
Miscreants set fire on a staff bus (BRTC) of Agrani Bank in Taltala area of Khilgaon here in the morning while three buses of Ekushey Express were set on fire in the evening, said Fire Service and Civil Defence official Md Shahjahan Sikder.
Another bus of Boishakhi Paribahan was torched by miscreants at Uttara Badda in the city.
Fire stations of the concerned areas doused the fire. No casualty was reported in these incidents.
